Hi Alyana,

If your own cool things are written in HTML then you can add them to your site using using the HTML widget.

Good luck!

Hi there Lior,

Unfortunately I am not aware of a site that you can use to download your own navigation that you can use with Yola.

You can however create your own menu as follows:

1. You can take your pages out of your navigation (click on the "Edit Navigation" button and drag the pages from "Pages in the Navigation" to "Pages out of the Navigation" - this will hide your default navigation).

2. Create your own page text links in a Text Widget and place them where you'd like this new navigation menu to show up. This can be done by adding text, highlighting it and clicking on the link button on the text toolbar and linking to the specific page on your site. You can then edit the text links using the Edit Toolbar to appear the way you would like.

If you want to make your own buttons for a custom navigation, you will need to create the button, and then link it to the specific page on your site.

There are quite a few banner/button making programs on the Internet if you would like to create your own. I have used a few programs which worked quite nicely if you would like to give them a try: Banner Fans and Banner Maker Pro, (this is not a free program, but they do have a free trial available).

You can then link the button like this:

1. Add the button to your page, using the Picture Widget.
2. Click on "Properties" tab in the Sidebar, on the right of the screen.
3. Click on "Choose a Link" and make your selection; you will be able to choose to link to a page in your site, an outside URL, an email address or a file.
4. Click on "Apply".

To check that your link is working, preview your page and then click on the link.

We have two tutorials that will help in explaining this process:

* Creating Subpages
* Creating Links

Please note that the navigation is a feature of the style you select. If it is not working for you, you may need to consider changing styles. We have a link to your support page which has a style guide: Yola Style Guide which has a handy filter function for you to see which style you might like.

I hope this helps.

http://purecssmenu.com/

this makes an excellent navigation menu that is completely customizable. Register first before you make your navigation as you will need to start over again to register.
Register - just enter email and name which will send you confirmation email with password
Sign into website using email and password provided
create your navigation which allows you to choose font, size, color and sub menu then download and it will provide you with a html file.
drop a html widget onto your yola site and paste the information located in the body tag of the html file and you'll have your custom navigation.
to remove the navigation provided by yola just demote all pages from navigation and it will disapear!

What is a good website to buy a domain name from? Godaddy doesn't really allow me to do anything custom to it. I need one that will allow me to do a bunch of different things to it. Any suggestions?

GoDaddy is probably the most flexible domain registrar out there. I really don't know what you are meaning?

Could you tell us what type of things you want to do with your domain?

A website and a domain are two completely different things. If you wish to have a very flexible website then there are a number of places that offer this

Hello Taylor,

In Yola there is a free website package and also packages that you pay for. The free package has a few limitations (not as many things you can change or modify on the template). The free pacakge does not have any pop ups or banner ads. The free templates will not have any future fees. The fees are only incurred when you choose a different package or a service that does not come with the free package. No hidden or unexpected fees. Here is a link to more info about their different packages: https://www.yola.com/tutorials/articl...
