Can I change an order placed in my store?

Since we have a large number of items and it's possible something marked as in stock in the online store is really out of stock I need to know how to edit a customers order.
Also how would we credit a customer via the online store should there be an issue with delivery of items by our carrier such as damage or items lost by the carrier?

At this time there is no facility to refund payments through the Online Store. It is a facility that has been requested and can be voted up here: If you want to have the ability to issue refunds from Ecwid control panel, please vote for this idea:

For orders that can't be supplied you would need to cancel the order and contact the customer with the advice. This facility is also in the process of being developed but as yet no estimate of when.
