Hello Ebony GildedQueen Johnson

Can you please share with us the domain name you've purchased and I will ask the Payment Departments if they can do anything to assist with this issue.

Hello Yvette,

When looking at your Payments history, I see that your custom domain: was purchased in July of 2010. This means that it is set to expire in just a few months. We are not able to refund your domain payments, as it is well past a few days of purchase. You can, however, purchase a new custom domain by visiting this page: Buy a Custom Domain from Yola!

When your other domain is due to expire, simply let it expire. After purchasing your new domain, press the arrow next to the green "Publish to the Web" button and select "Publishing Options". Next, please press "unpublish site". This will remove your old domain from the site. Next, press the green "Publish to the Web" and select your newly purchased domain.

Please let us know if you struggle with this.

Hello James, I wasn't able to find you in our system using the domain names you provided. Please can you post the e-mail address you use to log into your Yola account? (Please do NOT post your password!) You can also email us to if you'd prefer more privacy on your details. Thanks.

Hi James,

Thank you for this information. I can see that you signed up through Google's Get British Business Online (GBBO) program. Once your GBBO domain is registered it is not possible to make any changes to it. This is not unique to Yola or the GBBO program - it has to do with the way domains are registered on the internet - they are always non-editable once registered. You are welcome to purchase a secondary domain which you can use in conjunction with your free domain. Some members find that having two custom domains published to their website can increase traffic to their website.

If you would like to purchase a new domain please follow these steps:

- Open your site in the Sitebuilder.
- Click on Site > Site Settings.
- In the publishing panel, click on "Un-publish site".
- Type UNPUBLISH into the field provided. This is to confirm that you would like to unpublish your site.
- Then click the red "Unpublish Site" button.
- In the Publishing panel, click the "Publish" button.
- Choose the new domain you would like to purchase and follow the steps until your site is published.
