Hi Roxie5,

We are currently working on blogging functionality for SynthaSite. This is important to many of our users and it is definitely a high priority to us. We hope to release our own blogging platform later this year.

Some of our users have managed to create a blogging page on their sites by having a hyperlink that says "post a comment" and having this link to a form created with a form service like Wufoo or Form Assembly (you can find these widgets in the "Forms" folder) However, this is only a temporary solution, until we release this new, exciting feature.

Regards,
Kershnee

Hello, Kershnee.

I was looking for a way in Yola to show some content that was previously saved in a Wufoo or Form Assembly form, in a way such that users can search, order, filter the information in that form (it could be shown in a list or table view, and also it could also be a "page" view for each form item/row/record, etc.).

How can it be done with Yola+{Wufoo OR Form Assembly}

Hi Roxie5,

I don't have a definite date for you, but we are busy developing this feature. It should be available in the very near future.

Thank you for your patience.

Kershnee

Any idea how soon your blogging software will be available? I will create a website, but my blog (or blogs) will be primary for me.

I think this is a fabulous idea and I'm so glad to know synthasite is working on this. I don't know much about blogs, but I think I would like to start one at some point. I'm also curious about having a mailing list. Would the blog feature also allow us to have a mailing list so that if people wanted it they would be emailed of new blog entries or website changes? And then I could do so more or less automatically?

Hi cynthia
We are working on blogging right now and we are also excited about it. Mailing lists and email service is still some way in the future. We are considering introducing this in the course of 2009. The way people normally receive blog updates is by subscribing to your blog's RSS feed. This way they receive automatic updates every time something new is posted. We want to include this feature with our blogging platform at some point (maybe not right away, but definitely as we develop additional blogging features.) To learn more about RSS feeds, follow this link: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/RSS_(fil...

Hi there,

This is how to add an RSS widget to your site:
1. Open the widgets folder on the sidebar to your right.
2. Drag and drop the "RSS feed" widget onto your page.
3. Click on "edit" on the green widget tool bar.
4. In the properties sidebar click on "edit your link"
5. A link editor will open up. You need to replace the default URL with a URL of a feed that you want.
For example, pasting the following URL will create a Yahoo! News RSS feed: http://rss.news.yahoo.com/rss/topstories
6. When you are done click "OK" in the link editor and then click "apply" in the properties side bar.

An RSS feed with automatically updated links on the subject of your choice will be added to your site.

If you would like to create your own RSS manually - please click here to view a short tutorial - http://ide.synthasite.com/sites/Db5c/...
