Hi everybody. I've finally made a start on my page. I've got a question though. When I drop widgets into the box and then preview it, the widget sits quite small in the middle of the screen, I was wondering if I can make them wider please so they take up most of the width of the page. Thanks.

Hi DRG,

This may depend on the widget itself. If it's a text, image or HTML widget then this can be done. If it's a third party widget like from Google or Widget Box then other than configuration options you can't change them.

I'm happy to clarify this if you would like with specific examples.

yes please. This here is my site (I only had a play) http://drg-themes.yolasite.com/ see how the gray text box is about half the screen wide? And there is lot's of blank space to the left and right? I would like to make that wider or utilize that space somehow. Thank you.

I see what you mean.
may I ask if you used an image widget or an HTML widget to place this graphic on your page?

ok for the scroller at the top I got an html from elsewhere and put it in the html widget. The box around the theme that won I made with a custom panel, and the text above that announcing the winner is a text widget. But the red box that you drop them into is already that size and I can't make it any larger.

Now I have tried to add a forum with an iframe and put the html into the html widget and it's only showing me a tiny piece of the forum, rather than the whole page. Any idea what I'm doing wrong?

I've answered your forum issue on your other thread.

To make the image widget display a larger size you will see a red square at the bottom righ of the dotted red sqaure. This can be pushed and pulled to re-size your image. The image that you have is showing at it's configured size. If you pull this much larger you will see quite noticeable pixelation. Nothing you can do about that as such.

You may like to set up a column widget and place the graphic in one side of that. this will allow you an area to the side for additional content.
