Can I put adsense code inside of my blog article?

I have been doing research on Click Thru Rate on google adsense. In the research I have found that having the add inside of the article results in higher CTR because the readers eyes are focused on the article thus they will see the ad.

I attempted to insert adsense code within the blog article and it did not work. Is there a way that this can be done?

Hi Casey

It should be possible. When editing the post, click the "HTML" button on the text editing toolbar and paste the code. Your ads should then display inside your blog post.

Let us know how it works out for you.

I did that but it did not work, so I tried it again. Then I read your reply so I tried it again.

Has anyone done it? I would like to see their blog. if so let me know what I am doing wrong.

What happens is I paste adsense code into my blog then I save and update the site and the code disappears the same thing happens every time.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thank you,

Hello Casey,

I tried this out and wasn't able to make it work either. You can put Google AdSense on your blog page though. You can drag a Google AdSense widget onto your blog page to be along the side or above or below your main blog widget. Hope this helps!

I already had adsense on my blog I wanted in the article because all the research I had been doing says that the click through rate is better when the ad is embedded in the article.

I wonder why that doesn't work? I wonder if it would be hard to fix?

Any how that is ok, I can optimize the rest of my pages.

Thank you for your help.

Hi Casey. I have had the same problem. Tried the HTML function in the post body, didn't work. You can add the adsense code to the main blog page as well as any blog post. Once you have published a post, go to blog manager and then settings. You will now be on the "disqus" page settings where you can add code. I used my ad code just after my "disqus" comment code and also added sharing widgets. So just paste your code their. It will automatically appear on all your blog posts after that. Rynaldo is correct.

Disqus comment box isn't just a place to put their code.
I used this to add social media button.
