Can I put hyperlinks that function within a page?

For a page that has 3 main sections, I'd like to put the headings at the top serving as hyperlinks to these sections below, followed by 'up' hyperlinks under each that lead back to the top. I already know how to link to other pages within the site, but this would make in-page navigation more user-friendly. At the moment, it appears I can only put text-links under sections that point to the page being reloaded - like an anchor but probably not the best way. I 'd like the user to be able to jump 'down', not just 'up'.

Hi Paul,

Here is a link to a tutorial that explains how to add anchor links to your page: http://tipsandtricks.synthasite.com/A.... Let us know if that's not what you're looking for.

After my earlier near-disaster with anchors, I've managed to include them without messing up the page (and site). There are 3 of them at the top of one page. However, I can't seem to right-align them without upsetting the page (except once when I got them there but with an extra line space in between each - go figure). Every other time I tried to put a div text align command, things went crazy.

Here is the 3 anchor code in need of right-aligning:

Swarovski pendant drops

Freshwater pearl pendant drops

Original design pendants

Any ideas?

no there is no other way to see it because without it on your page its useless as the links go nowhere...

And I thought you would have learned from the near disaster not to include or change anything to those nasty anchor codes. ;))) lol

To right align them
1) try putting each one in their own HTML widget
2) and then drag a two column widget on your page
3) and then three other two column widgets into the right side of the first two column widget
4) and then drag the three HTML widgets with your anchor code into the two column widgets one at a time and one per two column widget.
5 then click on the divider lines and adjust till they are all as far to the right a possible.

Okay gone to sleep and no more from Ed tonight or this morning...

That suggestion sounds like something out of a Monty Python sketch.
:)
Surely there's something a bit less unwieldy?

Sleep well...

yeah it may sound odd but I can say that it would work as I have done it... The problem you have is that you are limited in you choices...

A) alter the code and maybe it doesn't like it
or
B) embrace the flying circus...

Up to you and yes I am sleeping now...

Hmm, I think I'll experiment with some code on a different page first.

After that I'll warm up the biplane...

;)

I worked out how to do it with the code.

Looks great, works great. Nice and clean and perfect.

You'll be pleased to know that I ended up having to employ The Flying Circus technique after all!
All my coding worked, but the entire field to the left of each anchor was rollover-active. Needless to say utilising the nested 2-column widgets fixed this and worked a treat. An added bonus was the ability to include a narrow banner image to the left of the master anchors at the top of the page, via the leftmost of the 2 columns. Just added that finishing touch.

So thanks very much!

Cheers
