Can I remove the menu bar only from the Index page in Yola, and not others?

Hello,

Is there any way to remove the menu bar only from the Index page? I have put an "Enter" pic in the Index page and hyper-linked it to another page. It looks a bit odd to have the menu bar there in the index page and I think it will look much better without those text in the menu bar in the index page. Can anyone please help. Please :)

Rgds,

Hello,

At this time the menu is site wide, so if you remove anything from the menu it will be removed from the menu on all pages.

I understand what you are wanting to do, like an Entry Page. Yola does not currently have an Entry Page feature; although if it is really important to you, you could create two sites, one site as a one page site and the "Entry Page" which you could then link to the main site. The other option would be to create your own menu for every page and keep it off the index page.

Here is a link to our public forum where some users were discussing some ideas surrounding this topic: Entry Page.

I hope this helps!

Thanks a lot Emmy, for the quick response and yes, you have solved my problem. I think I can create one more website and link it to the first one.

But, could you tell me how can I create a menu for every page and keep it off the index page?? I thought every page had to have the same menu as the index page.

Hi Prat - every page does have to have the same menu if you're going to use the default menu provided. If you want an entry page, we recommend the workaround that Emmy has provided above.

What they are saying is one site shows as your Entry page without menu, the index of the main site becomes you first page or is not shown.

Thanks Kent. I have done it. But when Emmy said abt the other option, having a different menu for every page, thought I'd try it out. But linking the entry page to the main site seems more easier. It looks a bit odd when the website address changes! :(

Prat, when I worked through Geocities, I had to encompass thirteen different sites to list all my assets. I don't thing many people really look at the web address anyway. All were linked togeather and back to the main site index page.
