Can I sell objects with one Yola Online store on one site page and services on another page?

Can I have two different yola stores on one site? I already have one store, in which I sell objects. However, I also sell a service. I would like customers purchasing the service to check out on the page describing the service, separately from the page offering the objects. Hope that is not too confusing : ()

(I realize I could have two separate "categories" on one page but would really, really prefer the two types of customers to check out separately, on the page corresponding to what they are buying.

Thanks in advance if anyone knows....

Hi Andrea,

Your description is very clear. You almost moved your argument to a solution.

The use of categories is your answer. Rather than only having one page you can create 2 pages, one with products and the other with services. This is a commonly used strategy to separate all kinds of classes of products and services and works very well.

If you would like any help with this we are here.

Thank you for your record-breaking quick reply!

I am afraid though, I don't know how to proceed.

My online store selling products already exists happily on the product page.
But when I go to my "service" page and drag the store widget over, it opens with a copy of the product store....if I delete all the products and instead simply make a button to purchase a single service, will I delete the products?

I am making myself dizzy explaining this...hopefully you are not fazed and will be able to explain. (Hint: imagine you are instructing a 7 year old in this procedure....then perhaps I will understand!)

Many thanks
Andrea

That is all logical and as it should be Andrea.

I'll try to explain it so that I don't add any more fuzz to the issue.

When you drag the widget onto your Service page, look at the top line left of the widget. here is where you can select a category specifically, under the heading Categories to Show. Lets presume for this explanation you have classified your inventory into one of two categories:
1. Products
2. Services

What happens when you drag the widget onto a page is the default opens with all categories ie Products and Services. You will see an arrow at the right hand side of the top line with "categories to show". Click on this and the category list will be displayed. Now click on Services. What that does is only displays inventory items with in the category of Services. None of your inventory will be lost. You can keep going on and on adding new categories and new pages indefinitely if you need.

Here is a screen shot to illustrate from my site:

If I haven't explained this clearly please come back and we can rephrase and work together on it. I do want to reassure you that you will get a solution that suits you perfectly.
