If I load a scanned picture onto a page with a background I get the white edge around the picture showing.
When I use the picture on a word document I have a tool in corel draw that 'sets' the picture and makes the edge invisible. Can I make the edge invisible on a Yola page? Thanks for any replys.
An example on my site is here http://australianavianproducts.com.au...

Hi Ron

You cannot make the edge invisible per say on Yola.. but what you can do is select a white background which would then make it look like it's invisible.

Another option is to use an imaging program such as Photoshop to make your background transparent.

Ummm... perhaps another suggestion would be to simply crop your photo to get rid of the white background?

I'm sorry I don't have an actual solution.

Good luck Ron!

Hello Ron,

just following on from Littleus solution:

if you remove the image background in an image manipulation program you would also need to resize the dimensions with this program. You wouldn't be able to use picnic online, the Yola image facility to resize, as this will immediately put another filler around the image. Your image is not perfectly regular without the background.

Your images are in the range of approx 210 pixels wide. So that would be your target width. Transparency can be created with gif and png file formats.

I guess the next question is. Do you have access to an image-manipulation program that can create transparent backgrounds? eg phtoshop, gimp (and others)

Let me know and am happy to do this for you.

Thank you littleus and Peter,
I'm going to download gimp and see if I can do the transparent back ground myself. If i'm still trying to do it in a few weeks I'll be in contact with you Peter !! Thank you for your offer. :)
