Hello Mark

Whether you have Yola Free or Yola Silver, right now you need to select your style from our style library. We are currently working on adding a wider variety of styles/templates with more customization options.

Currently you can change the banner image, color palette and background image on some of our styles. We want to make more options available like this, and one of our future plans is to allow you to develop your own CSS style if this is something that interests you. However, this functionality is going to take significant engineering on our part, so it is still a little ways into the future. In the meantime I hope you can find a style to suit your needs.

This tutorial may help you: Personalize your Style. You may also be interested in this link: Yola Style Guide. It has a handy filter function for you to see which style you might like. You can also check out this site forsite.synthasite.com, where one of our Yola champs has added a page to his site comparing our styles.

If you need any further assistance, please let me know.

Sanja,

Does this mean all the free templates are going to say Free CSS templates at the bottom? And I cannot use my own that does not say that?

Thanks

Hi Mark

While we can offer you the option to remove the Yola link by purchasing a Yola Silver package, the credit to the designer cannot be removed due to our licensing agreement with them. Currently, it is not possible to use your own template.

If this presents a problem to you, you might want to consider using a style that does not have design credit attached to it.

You can generally find these near the beginning of the style selector. To learn more about styles that do not have design credit, see the Yola Style Guide.

I hope that you will find something that works for you!

Hello Aynallah,

No, you cannot remove the design credit from the Yola styles if it has one attached. You can find a few styles (especially in the premium style area) that do not have a design credit. You can use the Yola Style Guide that is linked to by Sanja.

Wow! This is really restrictive. I bought the silver package because I was under the impression that there would be more option and functionality. But apparently the only people who can do any kind of REAL design are your design crew for a couple hundred bucks am I right? I've already had to buy a membership somewhere else for my store because the most I can do is add a whole lotta buttons here with a heck of a lot of scrolling. Now I see I may have to go somewhere else to build my other site so I'll just have $100 package just sitting. I AM LIVID. So not pleased. Not at ALL.

Hello Fee,

I am sorry to hear that you're angry. This thread is a bit old. Please can you let us know what you're wanting to do? Yola Silver offers you quite a bit of flexibility such as tweaking the css of your style, premium styles and more.

We wish to work with you on this and help you see the potential of the package that you have bought.
