Can I use Paypal Pro if I get a unique IP address?

Ok so I don't understand exactly how this works. I want to setup Yola for ecommerce and use Paypal Pro so customers don't have to leave my site for checkout (looks tacky). I have my own domain through Google Apps who uses GoDaddy.com. Can I just host it through GoDaddy to get my own unique IP and then I am ready to do ecommerce with Yola and Paypal Pro? I am aware that I need an SSL and a unique IP address. My questions are: a) does Yola work for me if I get an SSL, Paypal Pro, and hosting through GoDaddy.com and b) is that all I need to do to make it work or is there another step?

Thanks!

You can customize your check out pages to some degree even on PayPal Standard.I don't know if you have gone this far but SSL certs are not cheap and that is one reason why so many e commerce sites use PayPal or Google.

It looks like SSL certs are about $100 or so through GoDaddy. Assuming that I want to go that route and get the SSL and the hosting through GoDaddy, can I use Yola to create a site and use Paypal Pro? I have never seen somebody with a Paypal Express checkout that doesn't look tacky and feel sketchy (leaving the site when you go to checkout is just a big red flag for me). I want the site to feel very professional and trustworthy.

Yesterday I would have said no you can't do this....With the new Yola Pro accounts I am not so sure .....You would need to see if you can integrate a shopping cart compatible with PayPal Pro to your Yola site first....Maybe send an e mail directly to support@yola.com concerning this if someone on the staff does not reply here soon.

Hi Lydia,

SSL certificates are not available on Yola. Currently, the only way to add PayPal eCommerce to your site is to either use the Online Store widgets we provide or add the HTML embed code provided by PayPal. You can also use other checkout services like AlertPay and Google Checkout.

I hope this information is helpful to you. If you have any further questions, please let us know.
