Can you change Titles of the Blog Widgets (Font, Colour) - as are too large and overpowering?

I am finishing up my first Yola website and read some of the posts on changing the blog header text and that worked just fine. I find the text outrageously large and obnoxious for tags and categories and such and didn't know if someone has found a way to change them. I have taken it live so I can test my html forms and links - so here is the site and link to blog http://www.asmallbusinessconsultant.c.... If anyone has any suggestions, would appreciate it - it is really big and ugly when you choose a category and am not sure if possible to change that as internal call . I would be happy just changing the large titles for Tags, Categories....etc..

I do find the product fairly easy to use and this forum great as have found ways to change things I wasn't fond of - so this is one of the last things that is an issue. I tried doing the same as in blog article side adding a text/html widget ahead and changing the style -but for some reason I must not be doing something right on right hand side. Any help would be appreciated.

Hello Karen,

Unfortunately, you can not override the styling of these tags because their font size is specified in the link's tag. Basically, this means that the font-size is set indivually and therefore can not be overriden by the general CSS.

One option open to you is to add a text widget to the page and manually add the links and set the font size yourself. This could take a long time though. You can find the Tags URL's by Right clicking on the page and selecting 'View Page Source' or 'View Source'. Then scroll down to the 691st line and the links are there in the code.

I am sorry that I could not offer better advice.

Kind Regards,

Andi

Thanks Andi - but it isn't the tags that are at issue it is the headings TAGS, CATEGORIES....etc that are too big - that wouldn't solve my problem. The tags are ok - I just hate the titles being so large and Black Bold font.

Hello Karen,

Well in that case, you will need to add this code to your Blog Page: (Without the <!--- and --->):

<!---

<style type="text/css">
#I_Blog_Tags, #I_Blog_Archive, #I_Blog_Recentposts, I_Blog_RSS, I_Blog_Categories, I_Blog_Search{
font-size:10px;
font-family:Arial, Helvetica, sans serif;
font-weight: normal;
}

</style>

--->

You can change the font-size (ending in px), the font-family (i.e. 'Trebuchet MS') and the font-weight (i.e. bold, bolder, 900)

Hope this helps.

Thank you Andi - I will try this and let you know how I make out.

It is so nice that there are people on here with a bit of experience that have found out how to work through a lot of the things that we all find. Having worked with many products similar - it is expected you can't have everything perfect and meet everyone's desires - the key is having people that know how to do some workarounds - as this is a very cool product.

Hi Andi -

Sorry to bug you - it worked with one minor issue .....the only one it didn't change was the categories .....everything else it reduced and looks great.

I copied it right in and made sure I didn't mess up anything - is there a reason everything else would work and not the categories?

I fixed it ......I added # in front of I_Categories and it dropped the font on the title.

Done - thank you for your help.
