If you have one site published to two domains, can you unpublish only one of the domains without unpublishing the other one?

Hi Donald,

If you would like to unpublish the site from one of the domains, but keep the others, you can do this in your DNS Console. Here are the instructions:

1. Login to your Yola account
2. Scroll to the bottom of your MySites Page and click on "Enable Advanced Domain Settings"
3. Find the site you would like to remove the domain from
4. Click on the down arrow of the site name
5. Scroll to the bottom of the list and click "Unassign"
6. A dialog box will pop up asking you to confirm this action
7. If you want to proceed click "OK"

That domain name will now be unassigned from the site.

Kind Regards,
Emmy

I was afraid someone would recommending unpublishing both of them then republishing with just the one but then that would take away my synthasite sub domain.

Hello,

I was trying to unassigned my subdomain from my site and for some reason it will not let me. Thank you for your time.

Hi Christy,

Did you want to change your subdomain or unpublish your site? Steps for both are below.

To unpublish your site:

1. Click on the down-arrow next to the yellow "Update My Site" button.
2. Click on "Publishing settings".
3. Click on "Unpublish your Site".

You will be asked to confirm that you wish to unpublish your site. Click on "OK" and your site will be unpublished.

To change your subdomain name:

1. Click on the drop down arrow next to the yellow "Update my Site" button.
2. Click on "Publishing Settings".
3. A dialog box will open up. Click on "Edit your subdomain".
4. Type in your new domain name and click "Save".

Your site will then be published to your new domain.

I have a free yola site, but do a custom domain (since 2009 I think).

Like to change it, but it seems I need to update to Yola Bronze or Silver. Don't need the updates for something else...

Hello Agna,

If you wish to change your custom domain, you will need to repurchase a new domain. Along with this, you will need to purchase a hosting subscription package.

If you're content with the features offered through Yola Free, then I suggest upgrading to Yola Bronze. This enables you to publish your site to your custom domain without feeling the need to get all the features that you may not use with Yola Silver or Yola Gold.

For more information about our packages, please see: Yola Packages.
