I cannot add links in my websites. I did it the right way (as I have done many times before). But today it just refuses to link to anything.

Hello,

I'm sorry you are having trouble with this. It sounds like a bug we are currently working on.

If you add text to your page and select only the text (don't select any spaces before or after the text), you will be able to format the text using the text toolbar and create your links.

If you add text to your page and select all the text (using 'select-all') or sweep the text with your cursor and include a space at the end of the text, you will find that you are unable to format the text using the text toolbar.

Can you give this a try and let me know if you are still unable to create the links.

Thanks,
Emmy

Hello Emmy,

It's not working.
I can select only the text (which I always did), format it with the toolbar, choose the link destination page, but when I click ok, the link is not added.

after the above operation, I do not even see the cursor in the text box. I can still type more text in the box, but I cannot delete any text.

Hello,
I think we need to take a closer look at the page to see what the problem might be; can you email us at support@yola.com and we can assist you further from there. Thanks!

I had the same problem inserting links over the last couple of days. As a newbie here, i thought it was me.
I have just tried linking in Internet Explorer8, and it works fine.
There must be an issue with Firefox3.5, as that is not working, and is the browser i usually use.

different browsers have various glitches. i think firefox still provides the overall best experience, and yola is optimized for firefox. but it's good to have something for backup.

Hello Ebuce and kev,

It looks like you are experiencing the same bug as it in this thread: Text editor problem when using Firefox.

We apologize for the inconvenience and will post back here when a fix is in place.

Kind Regards,
Emmy

Cheers Emmy, that is great news.
I thought the problem was Firefox, not yola? Either way, if it's sorted, it's all good.
