Hello,

i'm trying to transfer my ZOEgirl.ca domain from Yola to a new registrar. The main reason is that it costs a little much to register or renew domains at Yola, and it doesn't encourage me that the company is making it difficult for me to leave Yola. i can't get my domain transfer (or unlock) code, even after asking Yola multiple times. Can you please make sure that i get this code once and for all?

Cheers!

Hi Alex,

I replied to your tweet yesterday. We can't provide this information in public spaces as it would compromise the security of your domain. If you are not receiving your code after unlocking it, the email is most likely being blocked by spam filters as it is mailed automatically. We can provide your code manually via direct email but you need to contact us direct from the email address associated with your domain to verify your ownership.

Hello Alex

I'm sorry that you're having trouble with moving your domain away from us. Antoine has been in touch with you, and your last response was on Friday night. He'll follow up with you today. I'm sorry that your domain has expired in the meantime. Moving a domain takes a couple of days with any provider, and parts of this process are beyond Yola's control, so it's advisable to start it in time. Thank you for your understanding.

Thanks. The answer was good. What confused me is that changing my Yola contact information did not change my domain contact information. i think Yola should do a better job of either making the changes happen simultaneously, or otherwise explaining to customers that the changes must happen separately.
