For 24 hours now I have been un able to access my online store to edit and add new products, I can get into my store as a customer, just not to edit it. when i sign in i click on my yola and then online store on the left hand side menu. This takes me to a page with a heading recent orders, underneath this heading is a message saying loading store data with a loading symbal going round and round and that is as far as it goes, it is all very frustrating as i have customers waiting on products to be loaded, Tim,

Hi tim,

Can you try clearing your browser cache and see if that helps? If not then try another browser.

It's often very difficult to say why these things happen so the best approach is to try a little bit of shotgun therapy to your site building strategies. It can be Yola but is more likely to be something beyond those walls.

Sometimes this can be due to browser add-ons so it's worthwhile if this is the case to disable them, see if you can then connect and if important to you try re-enabling the add-ons one at a time with testing in between.

Get back if this has no effect or limited effect and we'll keep working through with you.

Hi tim,

What's your site address? If clearing your cache and trying an alternate browser doesn't help, we'd like to take a closer look for you.

Hi yes nothing has changed by following your advice, every now and then I can access my online store through the dashboard but it is only vedry occasionally and mostly with google chrome.I can enter the site as a customer no problem at all, it is only when I need to edit through the dashboard that it just keeps saying loading store data, this means my customers can order but I cant access the orders or add more products to the site, Tim

Tim,

Thanks for checking out those aspects. Unfortunately I am not seeing the same thing and I was in and out of the store in the builder frequently over the weekend. I think there was one time that i had the perpetual loading going on. It looks like a location related issue but where I wouldn't have any idea.

I presume all other connections and site access was normal? It is very frustrating and I hope that the Yola Support people can give you an answer or a solution on this.

yes all other connections work fine, I can even access the edit site option from my yola the problem only kicks in when I click on online store on the left hand menu in the dash board, this makes editting my store impossible, I cxant even get to customers orders. The problem seemed to stem from verifying my store on google by adding a meta tag i have since deleted the meta tag but dont know if it has been removed, many thanks for your help it is appreciated, Tim

This sounds a bit like a broken record I know! Would you have added any product description text by copying and pasting from a web-site or a Word document or similar?

Using suppliers catalogue images is a really common source of illustration in Ecwid and other shopping systems. I haven't heard that it can cause a problem but I don't know.

I know that if the images aren't available that you are notified at the time of uploading. Thereafter the images are stored on a yola/ecwid server somewhere.

You could go onto ecwid's forum and ask them to have a look at your store content to see if they can see a problem with the data? You can create an account independent of your Online Store and you will need to tell them your website address unless you remember the Store number or the short name of your store. Normally a day or two turn around.
