Can't edit your templates

I was so frustrated with your templates I could scream. None of them fit what I needed and were too stripped down. I need a book website, none of your templates really apply. I finally found one I could work with, only to find it is impossible to edit. I couldn't even change the font or move the placement of the title.

Is there any easy way to do this? Otherwise, I guess I'll keep looking for a place with easy to use templates. These are fine if you don't want to alter anything but I truly can't figure out how to move anything around.

WHat is the trick to it?

I've used blogger, wordpress...etc...and NEVER had this type of problem.

Are the templates as is? If so, they won't work and I'm wasting my time.

I've read the tutorials until I'm blue. And the text widget is possessed. I cannot get it to work correctly. I can't alter font. I can't fill in background behind font. I can't move or drag the title to a better position. I'm so just frustrated.

Hi there B. Lou Goodwin,

Unfortunately the font and placement of the title is not changeable on Yola styles. While most of our styles are customizable in various ways this is one area where they aren't.

We do have a tutorial that may help you to personalize your style - see: Personalize your Style . You may also be interested in this link: Yola Style Guide . It has a handy filter function for you to see which style you might like. You can also check out this site, where one of our Yola users has added a page to his site comparing styles.

I hope this information can be helpful to you in finding a style that could work for you.

I am sorry the text widget is giving you problems. Are you copying and pasting from another source or are you adding the text yourself?
If you are, I would suggest adding it to a program like Notepad or Wordpad first to strip out any unnecessary formatting that may cause the text widget to play up.
If you can give me any more information on this I will be able to assist you further.
