Can't open Sitebuilder

I can't open sitebuilder - when I try it just sits there loading and never opening. I probably put bad HTML in one of my sites (didn't realise), but now I can't open sitebuilder for either of them. I was able to open sitebuilder on another computer though (??) and cleaned up the HTML. But I still can't load sitebuilder on my own computer. Wondering: Is the problem with my sites or is it with my computer?? Any ideas how to fix it? Thanks, Mary.

Hi Mary

It could be that you need to clear the cache in the browser you are using on your computer. Follow the steps in this link to do this: clear cache.

If it does not resolve the problem, please post the URL of your site and we can test it for you.

Thank you
Nazlie

I cannot get site builder to work either. Cache has been cleared but it just hangs on loading. Seems to be a problem on yola.

Hello Eric,

Please can you also try out these other troubleshooting tips here? If you continue to struggle with this, please share your URL with us.

None of these tips resolve the issue. This happens when trying to build a site for the first time. Here is the URL http://sitebuilder.yola.com/en/ide/in...

It just hangs on loading and never proceeds.

Hi, Eric McFarlane!

And ya, I also tried. It doesn't worked, I think this is Yola's problem. Not your comptuer problem.

Thanks, Mai.

I find your comment curious, since the last thing that was said was " If you continue to struggle with this, please share your URL with us." So, regardless, there is no address to my site, since I can ́t get the sitebuilder to run, so there is NO site created.

Hi, Eric McFarlane!

Oh, I saw somebody wrote that. Sorry Eric McFarlane....
And never mind, people visited that URL no use. They even can't edit your website..

And one more, I'm not Yola's employee.

Thanks, Mai.

Hi Eric

Is you site published? If it is, please post the website address (URL) here and we can test it. You will find the site's URL at the top of your Sitebuilder page, just left of the green "Publish to the web" button.

Looking forward to hearing more from you.

As I have stated before, I cannot get sitebuilder to run in order to create a site. How can I publish something that I cannot create?!?!?

Hi Eric

Sorry, I didn't quite understand your previous post where you posted the link.

Can you log into your Yola account on a different computer to see if this resolves the problem?

I have tried different computers, different browsers and to no result. If you read the thread, another person tried it and it does not work for her either. The problem is on your site, the sitebuilder is NOT working.

Hi Eric

Sorry to hear that you cannot load the sitebuilder after you login.

We have tested and are not able to replicate your problem. Can you tell us which geographical location you are in?

I am located in the Republic of Panama. But if you are accessing your own server, inside your own network, you will never have a problem. While you cannot seem to replicate the problem, if you review this thread, there are others who have verified that this problem exists. Please NOTE the above comment from Mai "Hi, Eric McFarlane!

And ya, I also tried. It doesn't worked, I think this is Yola's problem. Not your comptuer problem.

Thanks, Mai."

You see?!?!? It is not me, my computer, or my location, this problem in on your system.

Hi Eric

I understand that this is frustrating for you. We would like to find out why you are having issues setting up your site and are therefore asking you for additional information so that we can test in a similar environment as you are working in.

I need to point out that when we test, we are not in the same geographical location as our servers, nor are our servers hosted on the same network as the one I am logged into now. So when we test or log in to our sites, it is the same as anyone else logging in from anywhere online.

You have quoted Mai's comment on this thread. However, the link you posted (http://sitebuilder.yola.com/en/ide/in...) is not a valid link and will give anyone else access to your site because you need to be logged in with your user name and password.

To get back to troubleshooting, it looks as if you have done a few things to try to resolve the problem. We can do some more testing to try to replicate the issue. Can you tell us which browser and versions you have tried?

This link comes from your site, after I have logged in, and there appears a red arrow which states "create new site". I have not been able to create a site because the sitebuilder never loads, it just hangs.

As far as my system, I am running the latest version of chrome (version 14.0.835.14), my system runs on Windows 7, 64 bit, with 4GB of Ram. I have also tried using Firefox (version 6.0.2). My internet bandwith is 4MB.

I have no link to my site because the sitebuilder does not load to create one!

Thanks for this information, Eric. We can do some testing on our side to see if we can replicate the problem.

Yes, the link is on the Yola site, but only visible to anyone who is logged in and will only display their Sitebuilder. Other people will not be able to see your Sitebuilder, using that link.

We will let you know if there are any updates on this issue. Thank you for working with us to try to resolve it.

Eric,

Hi,

I can validate that the problem is not on the sitebuilder and yes, as Nazlie stated, the link posted on the thread is not valid and from what i can see that is an actual link to the dashboard of one Yola user. I assume you have signed up with Yola and you have a username/email and password ?

Your dashboard panel opens up but nothing gets loaded ?

In most case this will be a browser issue, especially if using Mozilla. However, also clear you cache and then retest. If the problem persists, forward me your signup details (email and password) and i will have it sorted out for you.

I strongly disagree that this problem does not exist on the sitebuilder site.

If I go to http://www.yola.com and then login, the screen changes and informs me that I have no sites created. When I click on the arrow to create a new site, the screen clears and a box pops up and states loading. The app never loads. Clearing the cache, refreshing the screen, closing the box, nothing resolves this issue.

Hi Eric,

I understand that you are frustrated. However, if the sitebuilder was the problem, i am pretty sure more Yola users would experience this. Moreover, you are also listing every measurement you took in order to try and rectify the problem. Everything but trying a different browser. Have you tried IE ? If you would like me to take a look at this for you, please forward me your Yola login details.

Regards

Hi Eric,
It seems we are not able to work this out here on the thread, we do understand your frustration. Can you please email us at support@yola.com and we would like to set up a Webex and troubleshoot this with you.

Thanks,
Emmy
