Hi. I've added photo's to my site through Paypal. There was a time when all of the pictures showed, but now only about half do. Instead, there is a small x in the box. What's up with that? http://www.singingheart.yolasite.com Thanks so much for any help. Debbie

Hi Deborah

It would appear that you have some kind of symbol in your filename? This is what I'm seeing for one of them: img class="image" src="resources/jewelry%20011.JPG" See the %? try renaming it to jewelry20011 Also, I don't know if the capitalization of the file extension makes a difference. If you have your file name as jewelry20011.jpg - you should make sure that it's typed like that.

Also.. what browser are you using? This too can make a difference.

Did you by any chance move any of your images in file manager from one folder to a different one?

Hi littleus. Thanks for you quick reply. I hate to admit to just how computer illiterate I am, but....here goes... okay, I don't know how to change a filename. How do I do that? Thanks so much for your help.

Hi John. I did move the images. Initially they were too "big", so I moved them to Picasa 3, resized them and reposted. Is this what you mean?
Thanks for the help!

I'm learning as I go!!

Hi Deborah... to change your file name, go to your file manager. Then on the image that you want to change your file name, click on the right-hand mouse button. You'll see a box pop-up with a few options, one of which is to change your file name.

First off most all of us are learning as we go and this is a good place to be for that....No you did fine there with Picasa and I think images have been showing since then...correct? I had a problem once when I started to organize images in different folders and they were not showing after doing so...Had to re-insert them from the new folder.I do think since the last Yola update some have had problems with images not showing ...Maybe an E mail to support is in order...Might be on their end and not yours.

Thanks John. You're right, it has worked since Picasa. Maybe I'll try to re-insert as well and see what happens. If that doesn't work, I'll rename the files, as littleus suggested above. Hope something works! Thanks again. Debbie

Hello Deborah,

It's quite straight forward renaming your images.

Click the "File Manager"

Find the image you wish to rename.

Right mouse click on the image and select "rename"

Type your new name e.g: "abcdef.jpg" Hint: use lower case characters for your image names and no spaces. It is important to identify the file type. in this case it's a .jpg file but it could easily be a .gif or .png among others. Check this before renaming and use this file suffix in the renamed file.

Click OK and close the file manager.
