I can't upload any more pictures. When I move the picture widget to the spot then I can see the "Upload New Image" button for a split of a second before it turns completely white and leave me only the options to "Browse uploaded Images" or "Find Stock Images" It can't be that I used to much data already as I checked the File Manager and it says there that I used: 66.27 MB / 1024 MB. Could you please let me know where the problem is???

Hello Chrisee,

is this still happening when you try?

If so can you go through the maintenance procedures of Clearing your Cache, updating your Flash and Java. I know there was a very recent Flash update (Friday) but don't know if this is the issue. I'm able to upload images through FF so I guess it hasn't had a negative impact.

The other thing to check is to make sure your aggregate upload files size is less than 5Mb if you are uploading a batch of images or files.

Thank you Gop,

yes, it's still happening. The button turns white leaving me no option to upload at all! The files I want to upload are smaller files, and I always upload one at a time, so that can't be the problem either.

I tried clearing my cache, but I am not sure if I did that right..., as I am not a very technological person. I usually use yolasite with Mozilla Firefox, but after your commend I tried it on explorer and it works there with no problems.

Hi Chrisee,

Thanks for reporting back here. I'm glad that IE is working as a solution for you in the interim.

I think it does sound like a cache issue certainly a FF related issue. Here's the link to Cache Clearing covering the popularly used browsers.

If this still doesn't work then I would download the current version of FF again. Chrome is also a the preferred browser for sitebuilding with Yola. IE is lower down the scale at this time.

If you want to upgrade your Flash player try this link: http://get.adobe.com/flashplayer/othe...

Java download is here: http://www.java.com/en/

Thank you for your great assistance, Gop! Chrissee, please let us know if the problem should persist on your end – I'm using the latest Firefox and Chrome versions, and everything with Yola is working fine.

Hi Thank you Gop and Stefan, and sorry I needed so long to go back to you. I tried everything you recommended. I uploaded and installed the new adobe flash player, I checked java (seems like I had the newest version) and I cleaned my Cache, which I found the hardest, as the video tells you how to do it, but not how to find the tool button. Needed Ages till I figured out that it could make it appear when I hit the "Alt" Button! But anyway, after I did all that, it's still the same.

I can't upload pictures for my website, and I figured out that I can't even play video's. Found that out when I clicked on the link and wanted to see the little video on how to clean the catch and delete cookies. I then tried it on youtube and can't see videos there either..., so lucky that the video still worked on chrome.

But what wonders me is..., I can still upload pictures for facebook and other social sites, as well as for items like online photo books?!?

Maybe I should mention that I even reinstalled Firefox but that didn't work either, so as I said before, I am not very technical and I have no clue why it stopped working practically over night???

Hello Chrissee

No problem for coming back a bit later! I'm sorry that this seems to be a tricky problem. Thank you for updating and re-installing all those programmes on your computer. In order to make sure that this issue is still not related to your computer, can you please try to upload pictures with Yola on a different computer, and maybe even in a different internet network?

If it is not working for you on other computers either, please come back to us. We would then like to do a webex with you via telephone in order to find the error. Thank you for working through this with us and your further patience.

Hi Stefan,

Thank you very much for trying to help me. I really don't know what I could try next. This is really a tricky problem for me. I tried what you recommended after Gop's first commend, and found out that I am able to upload pictures onto my website when I open the website in a different browser, like Chrome or Explorer. I have just tried it on the laptop it seems to work well even with the Firefox. It's just with the Firefox on my computer where it doesn't work.

The Firefox is the browser which I prefer as I am used to it..., and I am wondering how that could happen, and what if the same problem occurs in future with Chrome and/or the Explorer

Again thank you for your Help

Hello Chrissee

I hear what your're saying. Don't worry, you may be able to solve the problem soon and use your preferred browser Firefox.

Thank you for your feedback. So now we definitely know it must be related to your Firefox. We found out that e.g. certain browser add-ons can cause problems. The only way to check this would be that you remove add-on by add-on to see when the problem gets solved.

One of our users reported that their add-on called "duck not track plus" was the reason for their problem, and when they removed it, they stopped having problems. Those were different problems, but it's worth a try.

Please try this option and let us know how it goes. Thank you for your futher patience and cooperation.

It seems to me you are doing nothing to sort out these problems. All you are doing is guessing. Please resolve this problem re uploading new images without the button going white in a split second.
I have used Firefox to no avail. It is a technical problem on your part.
I have not experienced this with other host sites. Only with Yola.

Hello Robert,

There are a number of reports on this and apparently related issues.

One operator has a situation where she can't use Lion on her Mac but can use Windows 7 so I guess it would be useful if you could let Yola know the operating system you are working with. It's all useful data.

Sorry. I meant that the Yola people will see your reference to the op system you are using. They browse all posts on this forum within 48 hours and respond to statements, queries, suggestions & recommendations and criticisms.

Data like this will be sent to the engineers if it's required for investigation by the CS people. The engineers keep an eye on posts as well as I understand.

Hi Robert,

You are correct in that we are guessing as we've been unable to replicate the uploading problems reported so far. It seems that the issues have all been related to individual system set ups as disabling toolbars or changing browsers have sorted most users. We can certainly troubleshoot your specific problem if you reply with more information. What site are you uploading to and what browser are you using? What file type and size are you uploading?

Does that help?

How did your troubleshooting go and will you be resolving the problem?

This seems to be a problem of your making and not mine.

Hello Robert

Thank you for providing your URL which enabled me to find your Yola account in our system. I tested your Yola Sitebuilder and uploaded two new pictures using the Picture Widget. For your reference, I left them in your Yola File Manager and on a page called "test" which is not in your navigation and which you can easily delete yourself at any time.

I didn't have any problems uploading the pictures. The Picture Upload dialogue box was working absolutely fine as designed, and I was displayed all upload options.

This is another hint on the problem being on your individual computer. It's very difficult for us to diagnose the problem from here, but I promise you that we would have a lot of more posts on this forum if this was a general issue for every Yola user. I can assure you that this isn't the case at the moment.

What browser versions are you using? Please see the browser versions that Yola currently supports. Does your browser have the current Flash Player version installed?

Have you tried on a different computer, maybe in an internet café or on a friend's computer to check if it works there?

Please note that there is a huge list of possible factors that could cause your problem, and we'll be doing our best to assist you finding a solution.

I now have complete success uploading new images with Internet Explorer but still can not do it with Firefox, even though I have re-installed Flash Player.
I am now satisfied with Yola. Thanks for great communication. None better.

I am very frustrated too, as this problem will just not disappear. But I realize that it isn't a problem with Yola, in my case it rather has to do with Firefox as I can upload my pictures on Yola with Chrome and the Explorer.

I realized that I even can't see any YouTube videos via the Firefox. I get even an error message when I want to upload pictures on Facebook via Firefox. It always asks me to update my flash player. I have done that several times, but still get the same result. So I understand this isn't a problem with Yola, but with Firefox. I tried to get help from Firefox but that is very difficult. I did all they suggested and nothing helped, so I am still trying to find their support chat.

So thank you to Yola for trying to help me solving this problem. Even when you couldn't solve it, at least there were some "real people" there for me, trying to find a solution and I know that you'll still try to solve it.

Thank you for your help

I have exactly the same problem and I believe you are correct. I have the same problem with YouTube. No videos with Firefox but alright with Explorer.
I use another hosting site where the notice appears, "Firefox do not upload images" when I try to do so. I then have to revert to Explorer which always uploads images for me.
I apologise if I claimed it was the fault of Yola. You couldn't get better service and advice.
Firefox needs to get its act together.

Hello Robert

Thank you for your feedback. Although we cannot seem to replicate at the moment, our engineers will look into this. Please use Internet Explorer or any other browser that works for you in the meantime. We will keep you updated on this thread.

I'm not sure if I missed it on this thread, but which version of Firefox or Chrome are you using? The latest ones?

Yes that is what I see, except that I have underneath a button: Find Stock Images

I use Firefox 13.0.1 (which is supposedly the last version / so I got told)

When I go to the Firefox Start Page it tells me:

You're not on the latest version of Firefox. Upgrade today to get the best of the Web!

But when I click on Upgrade today there appears following message:

Hooray! Your Firefox is up to date.
See how the new features in Firefox help you browse faster and more efficiently.

Still I went through the process and uninstalled Firefox and reinstalled it, still the same, nothing changed.

Again thank you for all your help

Hi Chrissee and Robert! I am also investigating this case and was hoping for some more info.

Chrissee, you mentioned that you see the problem on your desktop computer, but not on your laptop, and you are using Firefox on both. Could you please let me know what operating system you are using for each of those computers, for example, Windows Vista, Mac OS X, Windows 7, etc.? And is it the same version of Firefox on each?

Thanks for your help!

Thanks to both of you. It appears that this may only be an issue on Vista. Our engineers are looking into it, and we'll let you know once we have more information.

Thanks for your patience!

Hi Jen,

Jacky Hole reported that she has the same problem with the Lion operating system but was OK with Windows 7. Can you look into that one as well. Jacky did a lot of trouble shooting but as yet no response on this forum. Should be followed up.

Hi Gop,

It looks like Laura is trying to work with Jacky, who doesn't appear to be describing the same issue. Once Jacky sends her support request to us, we can take a closer look.
