I have added an .swf file in my site but i cannot center it...the only solution is to resize it so that it is the same size as the page, as a result no blank space remains at the edges.
Is there a way to center my swf?

Hi there m_a_g_a

You have two options to center a SWF file:

1) Insert the code into a Widgetbox widget (defaults to the center of the page)

2) Drag a two column widget into your page and then drag a HTML widget into the right side of the two column widget and put your SWF code in the HTML box. Then slide the center divider bar to the left to center. Update your site and then verify that it is to your liking.

I can't wait to see your Flash feature so don't forget to share your URL okay...

Hi ed, I tried doing it both ways but my flash gets centred, but the placeholder for the flash code is so big ( much bigger than the flash) that it makes the the top of the webpage ugly as the banner gets over and the grey from the top menu spills down the sides of the banner ... did I cofuse you? can you help pls ....

hi sree

Sorry that I have to give you the bad news that you need to go back into the flash banner maker and recreate a new flash banner.

You see, your flash banner is 1300 pixels wide and it should be at most 978 pixels. I am not sure which banner maker you used but go back in and change the settings for the banner to no more than 978 for the style you picked (I use it too ;))

Then simply follow the steps you already have and your flash will look like you wish...

Thanks so much ed, for replying so soon and it worked perfectly. I did not realise that on the flash tool ( liveswif) I was using specifying 900 px on the movie properties was actually creating a swf file of 1300 px.. thanks again for helping out..

Hi m_a_g_a

Looking real good my friend glad the advice helped you with that.

Your site is really taking shape but I wish I was able to understand it ;) I have spent enough time in hardware stores to notice one a mile away though.

I had a thought about your current banner with the man holding the light bulb that you may wish to try. If you took your original image and in a photo editing program re-sized it to no more than 900 pixels wide and 220 pixels in height (the Midnight Style is 900x220 in size) it would ensure that the entire image with both sides and men clearly visible.

Keep up the good work and happy site building

Took a look at your site... looks great! Thought you might like this... http://www.appliedlanguage.com

I don't know if the language you are using is one of the choices, as I don't recognize it, but I'm sure there is a similar plug-in to translate what you're using.
