Hi Jeff,

You can use any email provider you wish! To change your email address on Synthasite, log into your account, click on the tab "account". Click on the link "edit my info" and you will be able to change your email address. Click on save once done.

Hi Jeff

I just wanted to add that if you are looking for an email provider for your website you can also use which ever service you like and link to it with our link editor.

Thanks Monique, I have used the link editor, but when the web site is "live", when you click the email link, nothing happens, or on some computers I've tried, explorer shuts down, and on another one, it generated a software response! Any ideas?

Hi leogirl

Can you share your URL so that I can see if it works for me. I would be more than happy to check it for you and try to work through this difficulty.

To clarify a little I can say that the Email feature you are trying to use may in fact be functioning properly.

One way to verify this would be to:

1) Right click once on the email button feature
2) Then click "copy email address"
3) Open your Wordpad or Notepad
4) Then paste into your text editor

If you see your email address then your button is configured properly. The fault then is in your e-mail client on your computer not being properly configured. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Microsof... The responses you described are exactly what happens when this happens. This is something that you would need to refer to your computer technician if you do not know how to change the settings on your computer yourself.

If what you pasted was something other than your email address then you may wish to repeat the email entry process once more.

Can't wait to see your site.

Happy site building
Ed

Hi Jeff
Thanks for this. I think a couple of problems were colluding. Teased them out, and it worked as you suggested. I have a new problem, but have posted this elsewhere.
Best wishes
