I'm working in the Atomohost template and I need to darken the paragraph font throughout the website. Is there a way to do that without selecting everything independently and changing it.

If you look here:
http://www.cellphonetaskforce.org/
some of the paragraph font is so light it is hard to read.

Hello, you can add this code to each of your pages in an HTML widget:

<style type="text/css">
p {
color: grey;
font-size:14px;
}
</style>

This will make all of the paragraphs on your page with that color unless you changed it manually through the text editing toolbar.

You can change the color to anything you like. Also you can adjust the font-size if needed. But remember to keep in 'px' after the number (without quotes).

You'll need to add this to every page in an HTML widget, so I suggest you try it on a test page and set it up first before you add it to all pages.

Please let me know if this works.

I hope this helps!

I tried it out and had no luck. So I made a new page called "FontChange" and typed in some text without modifying it, added the lines you gave me, and it made no change. I modified color and size to be sure and still no change.

Try using this code:

<style type="text/css">
.Apple-style-span, p, .Apple-style-span p {
color:grey;
font-size:14px;
}
&;t;/style>

Please let me know if this works :)

Still no change.

However, last time the HTML widget box was blank.

This time it displays some of the code above my test text like this:
.Apple-style-span, p, .Apple-style-span p { color:red; font-size:14px; } &;t;/style>

Hello Tim - I'm going to ask one of my colleagues familiar with the code to assist you - they're currently offline though and will be back later.

Hello Tim

Thanks for your patience. In order for me to help you, do you mind posting your URL so that I can see what has been done so far?

Hi Tim, try using this code instead, it looks like you got the "encoded" version of the code and thats why it is doing that, here is the working version:

<style type="text/css">
.Apple-style-span {
color: black;
}
p {
color: black;
}
</style>

Please let me know if this works.

and still no change.

. Am I doing something wrong in dragging in an HTML widget onto the page and entering it there??

AHA! Now all the paragraph font that is already typed in, stays gray, but the new stuff I enter is black.

Is there a way to change it all without reformatting the whole page?

Hi, if you click on the text widget, and then click on the last icon that says "HTML" and if you go in the HTML, you can take out the part that says "color:grey;" or just take out the whole "color:color here" part on each text widget and then it should work.

But try using the code I posted below. It has some updated code in it.

Sincerely,
Nathan

Hey Tim! I was just viewing your source and I think I may have found the problem! Try using this code instead, I added a part to it:

<style type="text/css">
.Apple-style-span {
color: black;
}
p {
color: black;
}
html, body {
color:black;
}
</style>

I hope this helps!

Bummer.

It changes text only after I select Paragraph from the Font Format menu again.

See here:
http://www.cellphonetaskforce.org/2fo...
I set up a new example page.

So it won't make text I already entered change. So I'm not any better off than just reformatting each section of text in a new color. And every color modification I make then won't apply to exiting text.

And when I add a new widget it is back to gray again.

Hi Tim, did you use the updated code? I'm sure you did. That should work though, when you add a new widget, it should be black. Because I added in html, body { color:black; } because right now, the style I'm using was originally a white background with black text but I changed it around and now it is a black background and white text. I have so much HTML widgets its not even funny! :)

Sincerely,
Nathan

Hello Tim

Can you please give this code a try:

<style type="text/css">
.sys_txt{

color: #000000;
}

</style>

Then for any text that you wish to differ from the main color, you will need to use the Text Editing Toolbar to apply the color.

Please let me know if you have any further trouble with this.

HA!

That did it. All the paragraph text turned black. Even the "old" parts already entered. And even the text in an entirely separate widget that had stayed gray in the other examples.

I'm glad you got it to work! I totally forgot about that .sys_txt for all of the text. Thanks for letting us know and keeping us updated!
