Hello,

I was wondering if i can change the colour within column divider.
I searched topic such as changing text box background colour; which didnt work as well.

(<!-- <div style="background-color:black;">Why is this not working?</div> -->

I am trying to make the divider, side to match the banner, but i am not able to:

Change text box background colour (as it seems the html wont save and blanks out everything)

There is no option to change the colour for the column divider.
Would anyone be able to help me?

Thank you :)

Hello WowKid

Here's a code to change a background of a text box:

<div style="border: 1px solid black; padding: 10px; background-color: rgb(93, 196, 211); text-align: center;"><font size="3"><b>ABOUT ME<br></b></font></div>

You can change the following properties in the above code:
1. border
{1px} - width of border
{solid} - type of line shown - you can have dashed as well
{black} - color of the border

2. padding
{10px} - refers to the space between the text and the border

3. background-color
you can use rgb color or hex number

4. text-align
{center} - you can left or right align as well

5. font size
- ranges from 1 - 5

6. ABOUT ME - this is where you input your text

To have a horizontal line:
<div style="background:transparent; border-top:1px solid #666142; width:900px;"></div>

You can change the following properties:
1. border-top
{1px} - refers to thickness of line
{solid} - you can have dashed instead
{#666142} - this is the color of the line

2. width
{900px} - length of line

Please let me know if you have any trouble with this.

Thank you so much Littleus, you always give me comprehensive reponse whenever i ask my noobie questions :D
Yes, it does work, thanks you.

I can now aline the colours properly.
one thing i failed to do was aligning the text box with the toolbar (Home, about, etc etc on the top bar below banner). It has a gap and i wanted to remove that gap, but that may be a templete issue.
Is there anyway i can modify the templete so it wont have a gap between the tool bar and the content on the site?

Thanks Yola team,
You guys always answer questions really fast :)

Hey WowKid

I'm glad to hear that the code worked for you. In regards to the "gap" - it may be part of the template design. Can you please tell me what style you are using and I can confirm if this is the case.

Please forgive me, I am not sure what style of template you are talking about. If you could post your site URL, then I can take a quick peek. You can also try adjusting the margins of your text box by going to Properties and entering in negative numbers for the top box.
