So, I made a website for my business on my silver account... It has a custom domain in place.

I decided to use another 1 of my 25 website spaces to *replicate and improve my current business website....

I now want to use the DOMAIN I have on website 1 (old site) and instead, add it to website 2 (the newer improved website for my business)

Will anything be affected? i.e. my stats... my google ranking... my google analytic features etc.?

My Emails?

MK ;)

*thanks in advance

Hello mik,

Your email won't be as that is fixed to your domain.

If you change your site then you may see a change in rankings as Google will re-index and see the changes. If the changes are significant particularly in content this will have some effect. The successful hits subsequently will alter the rankings.

Your analytics are a measure of hits If the hits change then your analytics will change

ok... but I won't need to change the the analytics tag do I?

or do you think it would be better for me to reconstruct website 1 to look like website 2 - the one that I want to move the domain over to?

Means a few hours work... but might it save me hassle?

hmmm

Thanks for you're feedbacl Gop.

If it's the same domain then no need to do the reverse reconstruction. I would use a new tag if you are going to keep the old file site and possibly re-publish at another time.

If you never re-publish the old site file then it shouldn't matter.
