Changing my site address and moving it to Yola without losing everything!

Early this year we needed to make a website. Our first attempt was with FatCow, which we found a really poor company to deal with; the representatives were so rude! However we had paid $44 which was not refundable so we stayed with them but pointed our site to Yola. We've been really happy with the service we've had here and want to stay.
However I have now had an invoice from FatCow for approx.$88, which would have to be paid in December. My site is an .nl site ( I am in Holland) and I recently paid for the renewal of my site's name to the Dutch company where I bought it last year.
I am just totally confused. I know I can't transfer my .nl site to Yola and although it seems like I can move it and change it by getting a new.eu address from Yola, I am nervous about trying this in case everything disappears. Any advice really really appreciated!! Thanks, Jane

Hi Rose

We would love to host your website at Yola!

However, it is not possible to upload a site that was built elsewhere, into Yola as the existing hosting environment may be completely different to ours. You would need to built a new site using Yola's Sitebuilder tools. We will be happy to help you build your site.

You will then be able to purchase a .eu domain and publish your site. Alternatively, you could purchase the Yola Silver package and point your .nl domain to Yola so that you keep your existing domain.

Let us know if you need more help or if anything is unclear.

Hi Nazlie, thanks for your helpful reply.
Sorry I did not make it absolutely clear in my question.......we did use Yola to build our site almost one year ago.

FatCow seems to think that we still have some connection with their site. They are asking for another year's subscription. I need to ensure that my site remains visible in some form but I don't want to pay any money to FatCow.

I really just want confirmation that I can buy a .eu domain from you and that you will be able to transfer the site I have published with you from the current .nl domain to a.eu domain.

It would be a disaster if I lose the information on my site but I only need it for another 6 months so I don't want to buy a Yola silver package.
Thanks, Jane

Hi Jane,

You can definitely buy a EU domain! You will not need to lose any information at all. You can unpublish your site and then republish it to your new domain.

I hope that helps!
