I'm super happy with the results of this new search.

I figured as 385 from 420 of my pages are indexed with google i might as well use their search.

As always with Hexham.info - its all FREE.

If you want to make your own go here - http://www.google.com/cse/

Try it out here from my home page http://hexham.info (its a business directory site, so search for something to do with a local business)

was hexham.info created with yola? Because if so, I don't see how it's possible... I need some classes or something!

Very cool Lee....I added this to my new site and going to change to this on my furniture site....Tons of options with this, connected it to my Adsense account also.

it is great... i love the way i can make it look like the site has hosted the results. And like you say the extra earnings from linking it to my adsense is another good feature.

Now i just have to go through 400+ pages and add the new code.

I think the index on demand feature really works, my new site was indexed on Google in 8 days...Even with our current site map problem.

I saw this thread at about 11pm Sunday night, after spending most of the day trying to sort out my site search. If you were here I would have kissed you for posting this one Lee. I had heard that Google had incorparated adsense with their search, but somehow it never really sunk in. After seeing how your one functions, I realised that this kind of search was just made for my site.

So...I am making changes again. Tell me what you think so far.

In fact here's a little task for you guys.

1) Go here: http://travelsa.cc/map-wc.php
2) Type in "Cape Town" in the search box.
3) In the searched results, click on Cape Town Accommodation.
4) On the Cape Town page, hover over the "video icon" for the City Lodge listing. (Needs volume)

WARNING: PARENTAL GUIDENCE - EXPLICIT CONTENT

For South African viewers, this is the un-censored City Lodge TV commercial ;-)

Looks much better as an overlay on the site - looks amazing - to the untrained eye this style of results looks like an expensive in site search - i love it.

Is that a home video of you?

As an idea repayment you can tell me how you did the route planner :)

Funny guys you two :-)

@ Lee. That route planner took me two solid days to do.
It is actually two disjointed mouseovers being accesed from an image map.
The image map has about 210 coordinates. There are three static images as you see them for the first time (with no hovering)

There are 11 images for the top and 22 images for the left side. The mouseover images are triggered when you hover over the 210 coords of the static route map.
Now I have to draw about 200 route maps for the right hand "iframe" column ;)

I was pretty pleased the way it turned out. I could give you a hand with the code.
You would have to draw the images of course.

For others who would like to see it: http://travelsa.cc/route-planner.php
