co.cc help!

I registered for a name at co.cc. My problem is this: I have no idea where to go from here. What do I enter where at co.cc so that I can publish my site with synthasite? I've read the tut and am still lost. It only gives partial information on what to fill out for a few fields on the form when there are more empty fields I have to fill out and co.cc offers little to no help.

Can anybody help please?

Thanks so much!

As I said, I looked at the Tut. That is a tutorial about how to set up an e-mail through co.cc not get the domain to work with Synthasite.

Sorry, my mistake.

We have a tutorial outlining the steps to configuring your domain, giving two popular domain name registrars as examples: http://www.synthasite.com/tutorials/p....

There are also instructions on how to use ZoneEdit if your domain name registrar does not provide you with domain name management. However, most domain name registrars can assist you with an A record, in which case you would not need to use a third party service like ZoneEdit.

These are general instructions on how to configure your domain to point to SynthaSite. If you require specific help with the interface of your domain name registrar, please contact them for support.

How to configure a domain name you already own:
1. Log in to your chosen domain registrar (eg. GoDaddy.com, Register.com)
2. Go to the DNS Management page.
3. Set up an A Record
4. The IP address of your record must point to: "208.75.208.172"

Please note that it can take up to 48 hours (although usually less) for these changes to take effect and you need to contact your domain registrar if you need help in that regard.

Please get back to us if you have any difficulty in this.

co.cc has change their free policies around some. Now after one year of free site you have to pay. I'd thought I'd be smart and take advantage of the offer and now have change my mind. The fees for co.cc for my sub-domain name is about half price of a premium domain. I would suggest looking at all the different domain places (YOLA, Yahoo, GoDaddy, Melbourne IT or ??) and do some comparison shopping. Co.cc has a good product but if you renew you'd be paying for a sub-domain name use and not ownership. A co.cc sub-domain name that you pay for and not own, it not a good idea for myself.

I prefer a domain name like .com, .info,.org or something like that. Also a company with 24/7 phone service for that once in a while extra help. Some of these company will also provide or assist you in getting a mail box.
