Coding the Pages: How to Fix/Update the html and Save the Pages Please

I am a web designer who designs, codes and writes my own websites. I have met one of your subscribers who had another yola subscriber create her website. These ladies realize that they do not know the first thing about what's 'under the hood'. My potential client needs a lot of changes to these newly created pages which would be an instant snap if I could easily access and fix the coding. I took a brief tour and (no surprise to the moderators) find this kind of site builder setup extremely cumbersome and difficult to work with by comparison (no insult intended, just my observation since I'm used to total access and no forced access constrictions).

That having been said, I am going to do my best to assist but would be very grateful if someone in authority could point me to a tutorial or otherwise give pointers how, or even if, I can update the coding and save it. During my brief tour on her login (at her invitation) the other day, I did briefly view some page coding but did not see a 'save' button for updating. I also didn't see where the css stylesheet page was located, or if we can update the classes.

I'd rather start over fresh of course than do the rewriting, but she has already paid someone so is in that predicament of not wanting to feel all that was wasted. I mention this so you can fully understand the need here and can better advise me what you suggest on how to proceed, and what the limitations or constrictions are for coding. I need to get up to speed to find out if what I need to do is even possible on this kind of site builder setup.

Thank you very much for your time and consideration, it is greatly appreciated.

Hi thecomputercat,

Yola is a website builder designed to make it easy for people who do not know how to write code to create a professional looking website simply and easily. While we do allow members to edit their site CSS if they are premium subscribers and custom HTML code can be added using the HTML widget, there is not a way to create a page entirely out of code. Rather our pages are made up of a series of widgets within a style template.

If we knew more about what you were trying to accomplish for the site you wish to work on, I'm confident we could better advise you.
