Colour matching: a tool

Web colour matching is always a problem for me. I pick a background colour for a style sheet then start adding things to it. That's usually when I notice my colour selection is off. I think I've picked the correct colour to blend with the background but when I see it marked up it's wrong.
There's a free tool that identifies the code of the colour. You simply bring the pointer over to the colour you want identified, you can zoom in to a single pixel if needed, it gives you the code which you can then plug in to some other feature and the colour is perfect. It's a 100% free download from http://www.iconico.com/colorpic/

Great share Peter! There's another one that's an add-on for the Firefox browser, called Colorzilla www.colorzilla.com
