colour picker problems

Despite chosing the same colour each time from the colour picker for my text links, the links show as different shades of the same colour. I guess the easiest way to explain myself is to show two pages from my site. The links on both pages were made using exactly the same shade of orange on the colour picker.

This page shows links in the colour I want http://www.veggiz.co.uk/navigation.php

This page shows links that were created using the same colour in the colour picker but are a different shade http://www.veggiz.co.uk/a---b.php

I know it's not a great deal of difference, but I would like to be able to create a uniform feel for my site without having to change my choice of colours

you havent added any CSS styles have you?

a--b is #ffbb33
the navigation is #f89200

If you like go to the html of the text editor and change the color values

I have no idea why it has happened????

if you need more help just ask

a--b = rgb(255, 187, 51)
navigation = rgb(255, 170, 0)

sometimes because links have a default colour set in the CSS it effects making links a certain colour from the text color !! if you know how to edit the html its better to do it that way when links are concerned.

the a-b: <a href link color is set to color: rgb(255, 170, 0) and the text is set to a--b = rgb(255, 187, 51)

the nav is set to (font only) color: rgb(255, 170, 0)

how its happened - again i dont know.

easy to fix

Hi Duke

thanks for the response, even though I don't really understand (understatement) HTML I have looked through the code for both the pages and what I find for the nav page is this: m looking for..... maybe the answer is just to change the nav page to make it fit the rest!

if you want to add html code here you have to wrap it like this
<!-- code -->

so which color do you actually want a--b or the navigation?

hi Kenny - i tried to write you a CSS style but your site style would not allow the change of the default link color change

I would (the easiest way) just go back to the nav page and re do the page - if you just make text into a link and dont alter the font color it will come out looking like the a--b links ---

or you could go through the html and add a color style to each link - being unsure about code i would do the above option.

What i have discovered is that when you make a link then try to change the color, it works sometimes depending on where you highlight the text - Yola issue needs looking at.

For now i would just redo the naviagtion page, because the a--b color is the default color for links in your style, if you wanted something else you would have to change every future link (nightmare)

The last option is go back to choose style and pick another colour option in this style

Sorry i couldnt be more helpfull.

Lee.
