Will Yola ever allow comments on blogs to be shown on the main blog page? I went with yola due to familiarity with a past site and put a lot of work into a new site that would have a blog element because everything I saw said comments were allowed through Disqus. I never realized comments wouldn't be on the main page though :( Please Yola, find a way to incorporate this!

Hi, viewfromtheremote,

I can see how this would be useful and will be happy to pass this along as a feature request. I do not know when or if this would be implemented but we are always interested in the needs of our users. In the meantime, our new Tumblr Widget may be of interest to you. You can set up a blog with Tumblrand integrate it with your Yola site.

  1. Open the "Communicate" folder in the Sidebar, and drag and drop a Tumblr Widget onto your page.

  2. Enter your Tumblr URL, and click "OK".

Your Tumblr feed will now be embedded in your site. I hope this helps.

If you are using Disqus as your commenting system you can implement a Disqus widget in an HTML widget on your "main" blog page. This will show people, recent comments, and popular.

1.) To do this go to Disqus.com and login
2.) Then navigate to http://disqus.com/admin/tools/
3.) Now you will see a page saying "extra widgets"
4.) Select a widget and change its properties!
5.) Copy the provided code into an HTML widget on you "main" blog page.

You can see an example used on the !side! of my blog page half way down, it could be used at the top, bottom, sides, etc.
