I wonder, if I were to pay for a domain for a site that doesn't currently have one, will it stop crashing on almost everything I do from Loading - loading widget to saving, and become workable again, like it once was?

Hello Bill,

A domain wouldn't be relevant to the issues you're reporting.

It's more likely to be  related to a coding issue within your site causing an issue within the sitebuilder.

Hi Bill

Buying a domain is always a great idea, but it won't have any effect on any loading issues you are experiencing in the Sitebuilder.  We need to do some troubleshooting with you regardless of whether you opt to buy a domain or not in order to get to the bottom of this problem.

Can you start by telling us what browser or browser version you are using and what site or sites you are experiencing problems with?

Thanks
Monique

I've used Google Chrome and Firefox, both on an iMac and a PC. The site is:http://harvestfieldsrecordings2.yolasite.com/

It's now somewhat worse than when I sent the original message. I can't work on it any longer, going to do something else with the rest of my day.

Hello Bill,

This sounds extremely frustrating. I had a look in your Sitebuilder and your Sitebuilder loaded up very quickly for me. I wonder if you might be able to try a few things for me in hopes that these suggestions might do the trick!
  1. Clear the cache in your browser.
  2. Update your Flash.
  3. Update your Java.

If you're still unable to login to your Sitebuilder, do you have access to a friend's computer? This may help to determine if the issues are localized to the computer you are using.

Many thanks for working with us on this. I hope we can find a resolution quickly.

I have three computers myself. I said I had tried a Mac and a PC. I can load in the site, but not the pages I want. Try loading July to September. Try loading Widgets on the next page. Five hours after I tried this, it still says 'Loading'.  Using Chrome 44 and Firefox 39

Nine hours have passed since I started to work on this site, and it's still not fixed.

When we have it fixed it will work across all our supported browsers Bill, it's not a constraint of the widget we added intentionally.

Never any such suggestion, I'm just delivering my daily experiences to you. It's not new, all of the above have been going on for some months but I find panaceas to overcome these problems - switchinng to different browsers for different tasks for example. Not ideal, but it works, albeit time consuming. I am looking forward to yesterday's problem being fixed though, which it might have been by now. It wasn't fixed this morning, but I'll try it again.

We're still working on it Bill. I can't speak to what you were experiencing before yesterday but we are fairly certain we know what caused pages with MP3 widgets to stop loading. If you are still having trouble after we fix the bug, we'll be happy to investigate further. Also we'll update you here when it's fixed.

Hi Bill,

We're making progress. Can you please clear your cache and see how it works for you now in Chrome? We know Firefox is still a problem, we're still working on it.

I spoke too soon just above Bill, I have great news! Now it's sorted for Firefox as well. Please note, your browser cache needs to be cleared for your page to load and your website needs to be republished for the mp3 settings to go into effect.
