Why are my email queries going to my old email address, rather than the new email listed on my profile?

Hi francisrollinart,

Could you confirm whether the old address you are referring to is the email address that your contact form submissions are being sent to?

This will help me solve the problem.

I don't have Yola mail. I simply want my contact me emails to be sent to my new gmail address - gmail is my login and my profile address now. thanks

I beg your pardon Frances, I misunderstood.
I'll check the info and get back to you if the Yola people don't answer this first. When you mention your contact me page are you referring to a web-site that you have created? Sorry I want to get the info clear in my head.

Sorry, I am not being clear. When I set up my Yola website, I registered a hotmail address. I have a 'contact me' page on my website where people can submit comments. I set up a new gmail address after setting up my website and amended my Yola profile to use this address and wanted my 'contact me' submissions to be sent to this new address. Although I changed my profile a couple of weeks ago to my new gmail address, submissions are still going to my old hotmail address. Hope this makes sense. Thanks.

That's very clear thank you Frances.

I should have asked this question earlier. Could you tell us your website address, please and I may be able to see the code embedded in the form including your submission address.

or

The submission address is taken from your login details at setup as you have mentioned but maybe the change in login address doesn't carry through. the fix is quite easy.

Please go to your Contact form in your site builder and select the edit function at the top of the widget. This opens a new modal insert and at the top of this there is a settings tab. Please click on this and you will see the current submission address. You can change this to any address you like.

I hope this will get you back on the right track again. good luck

I can't see your submission address as it is a hidden field (as it should be for security)

Can you open up your contact-me page within your site builder.

  1. Click the Edit tab at the top of the form.

  2. This will open a new box and at the top Left you will see two new tabs:
    Settings and Edit

  3. Please click the settings tab.

  4. Another box will open and the first entry is the email address that your contact submissions are being forwarded to. You can change this to whatever email address you prefer.
