With the new blogging feature in Synthasite, is it possible to change the HOMEPAGE into a BLOGPAGE instead? Or do I have to REDO the entire site just to start with a blogpage???

When in a non-blog web page, how come the blog options don't appear in the sidebar? But when in a blog page, all the other standard options (text, image, two-column layout, etc.) still appear?

Hey, I worked my way around what you're asking in the following way:

1) copy/backup all you have on your current homepage that you would like to keep
2) click on new page on the top nav bar
3) select blog page
4) when prompted to provide a name for the file, enter INDEX
5) it will tell you there's already a page with that name, do you want to overwrite?
6) click ok.

You now have a blog as your homempage. Nonetheless, it will be an empty blog and you have to add content. Also, this will delete whatever you have on your current homepage, so make sure to back up what you want. At least you don't have to redo the whole site! Hope this helps!

Hi Reev,

These are the steps to turn your existing homepage into a blogpage on your website.
1) If you would like to keep the current index page, click on the down-arrow next to 'Save' and select 'Save As' to save the page with a new name
2) Click on "New Page"
3) Name the page "index" and select the "Blog Page" option.

You will get a message telling you that your index page already exists and asking if you want to overwrite it. Say "yes". This will replace your current index page with a blogpage and your site will start on your blogpage.

Can you do this with a blog page that is already created on the site?

I tried renaming my blog page "index" and it wouldn't let me replace it.

Is there a way to do that?

I don't want to create a new blog page. I want to use an exsisting one, so following his instructions wouldn't help me. I did try renaming my blog page to "index" but it wouldn't let me.

I sent a support request on it a couple minutes ago on this.
