Creating custom nameservers for my domain, e.g. ns1.mydomain.co.uk

How do I create custom nameservers for my domain, so that I can point other domains to ns1.mydomain.co.uk and ns2.mydomain.co.uk ?

Other sites such as godaddy and namecheap offer this in Domain Management, but I can't seem to find it in yola domain management, and I would prefer not to transfer away to a different registrar purely because of the extra pointless costs, as well as not being able to transfer for 60 days after you get a domain.

Hi Tom,

Yola does not offer a facility for this through our Domain Management. It is still possible to create custom nameservers for your domain, however you would need to do this process yourself and create domain servers as well as glue records for your domain.

Alternatively instead of transferring away, you can always host your nameservers elsewhere (like GoDaddy), and point your Yola domain to these nameservers.

Hi Tom,

This is something that you would need to investigate yourself. It is an advanced feature, and not something that Yola currently supports.
