Creating music playlists

I have a player that can handle playlists of mp3's. The playlist can't be added as simply as typing in the URL of the 1st followed by the second etc. It has to be in a specified format. The generator that I'm using to create the playlist checks the URL for each song. I've listed it as mysite.com/resources/Music/title1.mp3.... title2.mp3 etc.

I'm getting an error stating that there's a problem with the link. I've checked the path(s) for the song(s) and they're OK. Wondering if this facility has access to the URL at mysite.com?

Hello,
Are you creating separate links for each song such as:
mysite.com/resources/Music/title1.mp3
mysite.com/resources/Music/title3.mp3

Are you putting mysite specifically in the path? To have the path work correctly you will need to substitute mysite with your site name as this is where the files are located; in the resources area of your site.

Are you editing the path to include your specific information?

Thanks,
Emmy

Hello Emmy,

Yes: separate links for each song
{mysite} I was using as a generic example, {Music} is the name of a folder created to hold the files. I'm putting in the real name. All the path definitions are OK.

Any thoughts?

Can you give a link to the page with the links that aren't working so I can take a look.

Thanks,
Emmy

Thanks for working on this Emmy,

There isn't a page set up as yet as I'm trying to create those links as mentioned with the use of a code generator. The generator is off site and it validates the paths as it goes and is telling me that there is a link problem. ie it can't get to the files I have uploaded. Until I can get the code generated there is nothing to show on the site.

I am familiar with installing various mp3 widgets and setting the paths of music files individually and its really the same sort of process but this checks each path as its building the code

I am not familiar with the code generator you are using so if the paths are correct that you are entering it's hard to say why it can't access the files. Does the code generator have a support team? You could ask them if they see a problem with accessing your files.

Have you tried adding the audio files to your site yourself without the code generator. Can you try this to test if the file path is working correctly.
