I think you've done a good job with your site and I like the uncluttered, one column layout. You could add some Google Adsense ads to help bring in an extra income, though. Maybe at the top of each page beneath the banner? You can alter the colour and design of the ads to blend in with your site.

The green theme works for me and I found your site easy on the eye and easy to read.

Take a look at a couple of my sites if you get the time;

Thanks Marky. I'll check out the Google Adsense ads. Your sites look great! I like how you've put a description of each type of music on each page. Gotta love Enigma! I like also how you enable people to listen to the different types of music. Great job!

Hi Deborah

You have a lovely site for some very unique jewelry. I love that you included a Flickr gallery on your product pages so that I can take a closer look at your pieces. Cleverly done.

I was fascinated by your "Jewelry Ingredients" page showing the items you use to make your designs. Some of them are really unique and very beautiful.

Take a look at our webcast on http://yola.tv for some ideas on how to promote your site and get traffic!

Hi Deborah,

Nice looking site... and jewelry! I also really like the Jewelry Ingredients page as Monique said. That may be something you want to expand upon. I loved learning a bit about the different cultural aspects of the beads; possibly more pages on the cultural significance of certain beads would be cool... I know I would like to learn more.

We just had a webinar on SEO and one of the points we discussed was finding your niche and creating your content around your niche, sounds like you have a definite niche! If you would like to watch the webinar you can do so at yola.tv.

Kind Regards,
Emmy

Deborah, I loved your site! I liked it so much I actually went through every page, rare for me. Really love the color and the background, found it very calm and in keeping with your jewelry and designs, I also like it because it wasn't cluttered with ads.

Hi Diedre, Thanks for the comments. I appreciate it. I live in South Africa and South African Rands are not listed as one of the currencies that Paypal accepts, although, since your note, I'm looking into it. I'll check out a Contact Form. I looked at your website. It's beautiful. I love the whole green idea, and the ingredients sound wonderful. I hope you do really well!!

Hi Deborah

You have quite a talent for making jewelry. They're gorgeous! You've done a good job in constructing your site that you can show off your handiwork. I do have a few suggestions. However, that being said.. this site (like your jewelry) is your creation. You need to do what is best for you and your vision. =)

1. Homepage
- I would encourage you to try and make your own customized banner. This will be especially useful should you want to get involved in reciprocal linking. This would provide a really great way to catch people's attention.

Now.. not all templates allow for customized banners - so this is something you'll have to really think about as it may mean changing your template. Here's a great style guide which tells you what options are available for the templates: http://www.yola.com/yola-style-guide

2. Your product pages (e.g. Necklaces, bracelets, earrings, etc..)
I do enjoy the layout of your products. It's not cluttered up and it's easy on the eyes. However, I do have a couple of suggestions:

a. Look at my screenshot:

b. I like the idea of your Flicker gallery - but I have to admit, the enlargement does not seem any bigger than the pictures already on your site. Perhaps the enlargement could be a bit bigger if possible or else make the images on your site smaller. This way when you say "Click images at bottom of page to see enlargements" - it is actually enlarged and not the same size. =)

c. I would encourage you to make anchor tags whereby when your visitor reaches the bottom of the page, they can simply click on a link "Return to top" that takes them back up to the top of the page to access your menu instead of scrolling up. If this is something that interest you, then you can check out this tutorial on how to do this: http://tipsandtricks.synthasite.com/A...

Another option is to create text links at the bottom of your page that they can click on which would take them to another page on your menu.

3. Contact Page
I noticed on your page, you have this excerpt: "Click here for information on the upcoming book by the artist about her experiences as a 15 year old runaway." I would make a slight change so that when you click on "here", the website opens up in a new window rather than the same window. To accomplish this, go into the HTML and add target="_blank" after your href tag. It would look something like this: <a href="http://leaveordie.synthasite.com&quot; target="_blank">here</a>

4. Jewelry Ingredients
I love this page! It's a great informational page and so very interesting to read about. I think a cool slideshow would really add to your site. One that I'm thinking of is called the Advanced Gallery - you can take a look here: http://yolacodes.yolasite.com/advance... Please read the rules first before grabbing the codes.

Overall you have done a really good job! I wish you every success with this venture. =) If you need further clarification or help with something, please don't hesitate to ask.

Feel free to look at my sites for further ideas:

Littleus - Wow! Thanks so much for the input! I really appreciate the time you spent figuring out what would make my site a better site. I will go over the tips, ideas and tutorials as soon as time permits. I might have some questions about how to do some of these things - I'm learning as I go - for now, I'll take one thing at a time and go from there. Thanks so much. The ideas are great!! By the way - your girls are beautiful!!
