CSS ed module causing misalignment problem. A report.

I suspect that this is a bug,

Using Squeaky Clean Black.
Have added 9 titles to the heading and it is by no means near wrapping to the next line. maybe 2/3 space taken.
Browsers FF and Chrome produce the same effect.
All apps libraries are up to date.
Monitor 1440 x 900 approx.

I have added an image to the backgground a .jpeg which blends into the black background of the style and occupies approximately 30% of the screen width. It covers the horizontal aspect at about 900 px. No tiling, right edge placement (upper middle or lower posn makes no difference), no scrolling.

The page appears as expected. ie a superimposed blended image on a black background with no scrolling of the background.

Going into the CSS module (Silver) in the preview pane displays a wrapped image of the page with the superimposed image coming into the new right hand border. I think that is the way it would be expected to display? After adding the CSS overide it shows up in the preview as intended. Closing this facility is when the problem appears. The background image stays where it appeared in the CSS preview for every page.

Going into the style and editing the background will push the image to the far right once again but this doesn't carry through for all pages even when this option is requested. Coming back to the first page again the image is back to it's mid-screen position. It cannot be fixed by the controls.

My workaround: to change the style to say white Squeaky Clean and then repeating this process again for the Black Squeaky Clean Style. Then adding the image back into the background and it's fine....until the next time you go into the CSS module and it happens again.

Hello Gop,

I'm sorry to hear that you ran into this problem. I'm still trying to wrap my head around this so that I can understand what is happening. Do you have a video recording facility that you can take of your Sitebuilder so I can see this issue?

In addition, can you please be sure to update your Flash and your Java?

Thanks for working with me on this.

Thank you miss Sanja. The apps libraries are up to date.
No video recording facility. It is not a critical issue as mentioned a work around solves it. The report was made to highlight the observation and document it for reference.

It most likely would only happen for a background image that only used part of the screen and was Right aligned. If it was a full screen image then there is nowhere for the image to be pushed to as it's anchored to the canvas (for want of a better description) It's quite specific but will surely happen again if someone tries a similar thing.
