Hi
I am trying to point my custom domain to my Yola site. It is a .co.za domain.
I followed the instructions about creating two A records, but can only add one. I get the following error message for the second one:
Error occured:www.qwebsites.co.za. already has a CNAME record. You may not mix CNAME records with other records (A).
There is a CNAME record with name 'www'. When I go to my domain it does say that it is pointing to Yola, but when I try publish to my domain through Yola, I get the message saying: "Sorry. This domain is not pointed correctly."

Hi Chad,

Suggest that you contact your registrar on this one as that is where the DNS manager operates. A screen shot may also help (Obliterate any confidential info before posting)

A CNAME record should work if it is also pointed to the correct server address I think. This is the way that GoDaddy seems to do it these days.

There may also be a delay in propagation . this may take up to 48 hours but it generally happens fairly quickly. So you may like to recheck periodically.

Hi Chad,

Gop is right, A CNAME should work if it is pointed correctly. Alternatively you can delete the CNAME and add the second A record.

Waiting 48 hours is advised after you have made changes to allow them to propagate.
