Custom Domain Working but Yola Subdomain still shows up in the URL Address Bar

I have 2 Bronze accounts registered with Yola and a custom domain (hosted elsewhere) on each that points to a Yola subdomain.

On one - www.rolvendenvillagehall.co.uk - this is working fine and the URL bar continues to display www.rolvendenvillagehall.co.uk with each page showing as a /pagename.php after.

On the other, www.npbwales.org the URL redirects fine, but the URL address continues to show as the subdomain - http://npbwales.yolasite.com

Can you advise me what I have done wrong on the second Bronze account such that my custom URL keeps getting replaced by the Yola subdomain?

I have checked and checked and I am certain I have updated all the A records as per the tutorial - but on one it works fine and my custom URL stays in place, yet in the second it is instantly replaced by the Yola subdomain.

Thank you so much

Hello Mark

You will need to make npbwales.org your primary domain. Please follow the steps in our tutorial Assigning domains and creating a primary domain, and should you get stuck, please let me know.

Doh...easy when you know how...

Thanks for that - I struggled to find that doing a search, so hopefully this topic will be here in case there are others like me who get in a tangle!

Cheers...Mark

Hi Mark

I'm happy to hear my solution has helped you. Did you search on this forum? For things like that, I can recommend to also search our knowledge base. You can either use the Instant Help Page (accessible from your Sitebuilder as well, top right corner > Help > Instant Help), or search our tutorials.

Yes - the problem was that I had forgotten the term 'primary domain'. I had searched everywhere for 'custom domain not showing' and all permutations but nothing had linked me to the comprehensive 'primary domain' tutorial.

Perhaps add a tag to that solution that includes 'custom domain' so that it can be found in future searches, perhaps?

Thanks again...Mark
