Cut and paste?
Thanks for your response, Monique, BUT
I'm feeling like a right moron, because how do I copy the text from my site? If I highlight the test, and right click, it doesn't give me an option to copy (only copy background, whivh doesn't work) and I've tried all the drop down menus I can see, and can't seem to do it

Hi cid

The problem is definitely not with you! My instructions had missing information. You should be able to highlight your text, right click and copy. Can you tell me what browser you are using? I tried it in Firefox and it worked, and then I tried Internet Explorer and I had the same issue as you.

The other option is to use the "Edit" drop down menu in your browser, as that will give you a way to copy and paste. (Or use Firefox)

I hope you are less confused after this, but if not, let me know!

Hi Monique- I use Internet Explorer, so the right click option doesn't work, but the edit option on browser did. Thanks!

Hi cid,

Hopefully Monique's instructions have already worked for you.

Just some additional info for the future: you can also cut and paste by using the "control-C" (on macs "command-C") key sequence to copy your text, once you've highlighted it. Then go over to the page that has the text widget where you want to paste it. Click on the Edit icon in top left-hand corner of widget, then use the "control-V" (on macs "command-V") key sequence to paste your text.

(I always use "copy" instead of "cut," just in case.... :)

If everything is the way you want it to be on the new page, go back to the original page and delete the text by highlighting it, and then using the "control-X" (in macs "command-X") key sequence.

You can also undo your most recent action by using the "control-Z" key sequence.
