Cutting and pasting widgets with content between pages

Hi

I need to reorganise a website, i.e. using the same content spread differently across the pages. I was hoping to be able to cut and paste widgets and their content from one page to other ones but can't get this to work. Am I doing something wrong or is it not possible? I really don't want to re-type a lot of material.

Hi Rob,

Your best bet is to use the Save page as feature to copy your page content over in its entirety and reorganize your page.

There is no way to copy and paste individual widgets between pages.

Many hanks for the quick reply Laura.

Hopefully the ability to cut-and-paste individual filled widgets between pages will be a feature that we will see in the near future - it seems such an obvious and useful one.

My current task involves restructuring a website and I need to move filled widgets from several different pages to a new one - and to do this for many new pages. Looks like I have an amount of retyping to do.

Hi Rob

I hear what you're saying. A widget copy feature has been requested by multiple users before, and we've put it on our agenda. However, I can't give you a time frame for this particular request at the moment. We're busy developing lots of improvements for the Sitebuilder right now, and as your request is related to the Sitebuilder, I can assure you that we'll stay tuned to enhancing user experience with Sitebuilding in future.
