Hello BritSAL,

I can see how this would be a helpful feature to have for bloggers. Unfortunately the blog does not have a feature like this and it is not possible to change the dates on blog posts. If you create the blog post and save it it will be automatically posted to your blog with that days date. I wish I had better news for you on that. However, this is something that hopefully we can look at in the future as an enhancement to the blog.

Kind Regards,
Emmy

I notice checking back in the archives that this has been in a long requested feature, over two years now. Please could you put this forward as an urgent request, as obviously many want this?.

It is definitely on our list of feature requests and we will take it into consideration with future releases. Thanks for letting us know what you are interested in seeing!

Has there been any breakthroughs with this topic? I am posting comic strips and would prefer to use my own dates, rather than the dates that the blog was actually posted on (since I am just beginning the site - I am archiving old comic strips).
Further more, is there a way to make the older posts button bigger? or replace it with a different button??

Hello CJ,

It has been decided that our blogging platform is currently a low priority for us. While we hope to address the issues some time in the future, we do not have plans to do so in the short to medium term future.

So, unfortunately the issue with the date will stay as is for an indefinite period of time. I am really sorry that I don't have better news on this, and I do understand if you are disappointed, but I hope you will be able to work with it the way it is.

It could be possible though to make the older post link bigger using a bit of CSS. Can you share your URL please and I'll see if this can be done?

Hi CJ,

Thanks for your patience. Here's the code you can add to your HTML Widget to amend your Older Post links:

<style type="text/css">
div.sys_blog div.blogpagination a{
color: #5dc4d3;
font-size: 10px;
}
</style>

I hope that helps! Please let me know if you have any trouble with this.

I think it's a shame that blogging isn't higher on the list of priorities. I have noticed blogs on many business and prfessional sites too, aswell as the private ones. For sure it's the main reason folks keep coming back to my personal site. I have a work around for writing up my blog the night before, of even days before, by setting up another blog on my site hidden from view, writing my posts on there, then in the morning, copying and pasting into the main blog. Even when the old post is deleted, the new one stays there. This, however, doesn't address the blog dating. I still have to be around to physically post in the morning.

Might there be another blogging option that can be used instead, like incorporating blogging code from a third party blogging service or something like that?
