  • Picture widget images appear to have optimisation set as the default. How can I turn this OFF?
  • Background images seem to be native by default. How can I turn optimisation ON?

Hi Gop.
The Picture widget image can be optimised/deoptimised with a toggle button that appears below the image when you Edit the image.
Background images: dunno, sorry, I never use them.

Thanks Phil,

I was able to follow your advice for the images. It didn't appear on placement and I hadn't thought that it needed to be done in a subsequent edit. I've learned!

Image optimization is enabled by default for the Picture widget so editing is only required of you wish to disable it. Regarding your second question Gop, image optimization is only built into the Picture widget so images added via other widgets need to be optimized for the web prior to uploading them to your File Manager.
