Hello Marie Grace,

If your images are unique, ie only one copy available in your collection, then setting the inventory number to 1 will prevent multiple copies being purchased. It will also prevent a second buyer being able to purchase this item

Is this what you were meaning?

sorry for the late reply... never saw your email...

NO we want other customers to have the ablility to purchase the same image..

but we dont want them to be able to increase the quantity per order.

ie: we offer 1 x digital image (which is a birthday invitation) at the flat rate of $20.00 and we don't want them to be able to change the qty to say 20 and to be charged $400.00 etc.

the customer only needs one copy of this digital image for download not several and they print as many as they like once they purchase the 1 image and download it..
so we want to know if there is a way we can have the qty field default to 1 and for them not to change it.

Hello Marie Grace,

The Online Store doesn't allow for a restricted maximum number of replicates of an item by the buyer..

It has been something that has been rarely mentioned previously but I don't think it has been voted up as a priority. i think your best bet is to either state this within the product description or simply ignore it and deal with it if it happens, which Murphy's Law says that it will :)
