I have inserted css code to delete the banner from my site (www.firstpageprofiles.com) but I still see the banner show for a split second before it disappears...is there a way to stop this from happening?

Hi Brent I think that you have duplicated all of your CSS into the replacement paine. You only need to copy the relevant snippet to make the CSS changes.

This is probably why it is going through and momentarily flashing the banner because it is processing so much code which is redundant.

Hello Brent

I have checked your website, and I noticed that you tried to disable your banner using an HTML Widget. You don't need to do this unless you want to remove the banner area only from one page. The better way would be to use your Site CSS override feature that you are entitled to use as a Yola Silver user.

Also, the code that has been added to the HTML Widget is incorrect. The label name of your banner area is different from "#sys_banner", the correct name is "div#sys_banner". You can check this in your Site CSS dialogue box (click on Style > Edit Custom CSS) under the tab "Site CSS" on the right-hand side.

In other words you will need to add this code to your Site CSS or HTML widget:
div#sys_banner {

display: none;
}

This way it should work to hide the default banner image right from the start. I'd also suggest to review your Site CSS in general because it seems that not only the code to be replaced was added to the override box, but the complete code of a tag, which shouldn't be done.

Hello Adam

Do you mean that your logo doesn't seem to be displayed on the same height on every page when you click through the navigation menu links? Also, it's shortly displayed in one position and then corrected when loading has been completed. I'm sure the reason is the custom code you added. As I wasn't able to find an obvious reason, I will need to have our specialists look at this more deeply. Please allow a couple of days for them to respond to you.
