I used the subdomain http://manteldingemans.yolasite.com/ to build a website. However the site is now obsolete and may be deleted, I cannot do so. Can you do that for me?

Hello vincent,

We do ask that you try to delete your own account as this ensures that only the owner of the account can delete it. Please try these steps:

1. Log into your account.
2. On the "My Yola" page, click on "Profile" (you'll find it under "Account").
3. At the bottom of the screen, under "Other account options", click on "Delete account".
4. Tick off the box beside "Please confirm that you would like to delete your account".
5. Click on "Delete account" button.
6. A dialog box will open up, asking you to confirm again that you want to delete your account.
7. Click on "OK".

Please let us know if you have any trouble with this.

Hi Sanja,
Thanks for your reply, but I don't think deleting my account is a solution. I've built five websites which are all running and need to be doing so in the future as well.

One of these five formerly was manteldingemans. I deleted this website and started a new one, but the subdomain is still there. That I cannot delete. Unless you can tell me how to do that?

Of course I can provide you with a login, but I won't do that here. ;-)

Thanks, Vincent

Hi vincent

I think you are right. You would not need to delete your account. It looks like all you need to do is to delete the subdomain that is now obsolete. This is how to do it:

  1. Open the site in the Sitebuilder.

  2. Go to Site > Site Settings.

  3. Click on "Delete Site". You will see it at the end of the first row (Site Properties).

  4. The "Delete Site" screen will open up. Type DELETE into the field provided.

  5. Click the "Delete Site" button.

Hope this helps! Let us know if you need any further assistance.

Thanks Nazlie,.
But that I allready did. Then I used the fifth site for something new and published it to another subdomain (like I actually allready explained). I think there is no way I can get to the old (manteldingemans) subdomain.

Hi vincent

I checked your account with that domain name and I see that it is the only site you have in that account. As this is a public forum, I do not want to share the login email here.

For security reasons, we do ask that you delete your own sites and accounts. If this is what you would like to do, please email us at support@yola.com and we will give you the login email address for that subdomain so that you can delete the site and/or the account.
