deleting tags in a blog? What about a widget to see all new articles in my blog???

I had an article on my first page, I tagged it but, later, I moved the article on another page. The tag still exists on the first page; if I click it I am not redirected to the other page and it looks like I have no article on that subject. I would like to at least remove that tag but i don't know how....

I think we should have a widget that allows visitors see on home page the titles of latest articles in all blog pages, not only the articles of one page...

Hi Dana,

Could you point out the specific article on your site that has the tag and let us know which tag it is so that we can take a look?

Hi Dana

Marije isn't online right now. I hope you don't mind that I stepped in here. I took a look at the problem you're having with the tags. This is going to take a little more investigating on our side as there appears to be something amiss with the tag cloud.

We will get back to you as soon as we have more information. Thank you for your patience as we try to sort this out.

Hi Sanja

Thank you so much for your efforts!!!

I would also like to know if there will be any possibility in future to have on home page a latest posts widget displaying the latest posts of all blog pages not only of current page. It is quite difficult with latest posts for every page and visitors miss a lot of good articles...
I would also like to know if my visitors will have to subscribe for RSS of each page, as well??

Many thanks
Dana

Hello Dana

I can see how a feature like that would be very useful to have. However, I don't believe this is something that we will consider at the moment.

So, what you can do as a workaround is use something like text links for your latest blog posts.

Here's how to add links to your page:

1. Drag and drop a text widget onto your page.
2. In the text widget type the words that you want people to click on (this is your link text).
3. Highlight the link text and then click on the link button (it's the 10th button from the left in the text editing tool bar, and looks like the link in a chain).
4. A link editor dialogue box will open up and you will be given 4 options. Select external URL option - you would enter your blog post URL here. It would look something like this: http://yoursite.yolasite.com/blogpage...

You will then have a link on your page which will go directly to your blog post. To check that your link is working preview your page and then click on the link.

This is a brief explanation of how to add links, we have written a tutorial that shows the process in more detail. Here is the link: Creating Links.

For a step by step video on how to Add text links please see: Adding text links

As for the RSS feed, yes.. I believe they would need to subscribe to each blog page. You may be able to find an RSS feed widget that allows you to combine all the blog feeds into one widget and having your visitor subscribe to that one.

I'll try to look around and see if this is possible.

Thank you Sanja!
However, I still do not understand where exactly I can use link for the new posts in other pages. I can't even edit my tags ...Are you suggesting to post the same article in both pages? Articles on different pages refer to different subjects so I do not see how I can use links ... could you please be more specific?
I think this is a really important widget to add in case you really want to offer professional looking blogs...
I am very happy with my website built with Yola...but I sincerely think that a lot of improvements should be done for blog pages....I hope you will improve it soon...

Still waiting for your answers...

Many thanks for your cooperation and prompt replies

Hi Dana

Let me create a mock page for you so that you can see what I mean. I'll try to get this done in a few hours. I think that will help you to understand what I mean and hopefully provide you with a viable workaround.

Here's my very crude mock page: http://sanja4.yolasite.com/

Hopefully though it gives you an idea of what I was talking about. I hope that helps!
